funny,.....The Foundry's website doesn't even have the .7 version posted yet. (release notes)
How the hell did he get it so quick?

__________________________EDIT:

oh, now I know why I couldn't find it, the foundry posted this:
"We have discovered an issue with the newly announced NUKE 7.0v7 and are working on fixing this straight away. Please use NUKE 7.0v6 for now and we will make a new build available to you as soon as possible. "

Oh well, .08 is on the way

06-09-2013 05:09 AM

they had it posted, seems like they removed from the release page, probably some issues with this release.

We're sorry to say that a regression has been found in NUKE and NUKEX 7.0v7, leading us to roll-back to 7.0v6 for a short time. As you are one of the first to download the latest version, we wanted to let you know and apologise for the inconvenience this causes.

Needless to say, we are working on a fix now, and will release 7.0v7 as soon as possible.

"... The Foundry's NUKE Team ..."

Whaaaaaaaaaat ?

pixel mixer 06-09-2013 06:38 PM

yes, The Foundry dev team is very serious about their releases, if they find that one has a big bug they will roll back to previous release, fix it and then release a new one. anyway probably it was really bad if they pull it off the page. a regression is a pretty big fuckup.

you have to wait for a new release to test the new improvements or fixes.

stiffie 06-12-2013 02:32 PM

Hi guys and thanks for this release. Just a little question to petshopper, do you have any idea if the FLT7.02 crack is gonna be updated to FLT7.04 since it fixes problems with RAID?

roocoon 06-12-2013 04:37 PM

I've no idea how any of you managed to get it to run, using this cockamamie fix.

I installed it, replaced with the cracked file, set up the license and installed it successfully into the FoundryLicenseUtility, but still it's not working.
On start, the FlexLM messages pop up (the FlexLM server is stopped so the messages must come from the program itself), I set it to use the RLM server instead, but nothing.
It claims that the start date (1-jan-2013) is in the future, and the product nuke_i is not supported.

So I figured maybe it has a problem with my disk controller or something and went to get the newer FLT7.04.
In this page: http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/support/...-technologies/
it claims that:

Quote:

MARI, HIERO, KATANA and OCULA are licensed using RLM licensing.
NUKE and NUKEX, FURNACE, FURNACECORE, CAMERATRACKER, KEYLIGHT, KRONOS and ROLLINGSHUTTER are licensed using FLEXlm licensing.
Considering X-Force only provided an RLM dummy license, how could it work if the program looks for a FlexLM one?

Is this something new with 7.0v8 or are the comments above wrong?

CuriousOBS 06-12-2013 07:02 PM

RLM is enough. Delete everything but the log folder and xf_foundry from programdata\
the Foundry\RLM. Delete the Katana, Hiero, Mari lines from xf_foundry, keep Nuke and
NukeX only. " Host pc_name system_id " no need for port. You'll find pc_name and system_id
running Foundry Licence Utility- Diagnostics tab.

strepsill 06-12-2013 07:14 PM

In the step that says to copy over and replace the files, don't just copy them over, delete the existing files and then copy the cracked files over.

CuriousOBS 06-12-2013 07:24 PM

I don't think we replace anything for 7.0.8. Just installed and the 7.0.4
licence is still valid.

woodburn 06-12-2013 11:56 PM

Great release - Thank you much!

Petshopper 06-13-2013 07:55 PM

....added orginal xforce release :-)

manifabers 06-13-2013 09:01 PM

Awesome! Thank you!

It seems i cant install this shit no matter what i do, this is like first tool, that i cant crack no matter what i do.

nuke and mari both ar screaming that no license is found.

http://oi41.tinypic.com/foekr4.jpg

i have tried like every thing i could find on this forum, but still its not working, for some brickshit reason.

EDIT: after digging more shit, i noticed flexlm server is not running, when trying to start it, it gives this error:

[Detecting lmgrd processes...]
Error getting status: Cannot find license file. (-1,359:2 "No such file or directory")

what license file exactly its searching for?

Don't bother with FlexLM. It's not cracked.
Just click through its popups until you get to point it to the RLM server, as per instructions. Hopefully the FlexLM popups will go away after that, assuming the RLM server is working for you. It's finicky at best.

Heads up for whoever gets 'start date is in the future' errors.

Check out your C:\Windows\ folder.
Remove or change the date to ANY file that's dated LATER than current date.

Among other things, it bases date validity on when files in c:\Windows were generated.
e.g. you cannot have a start date of 1-jan-2013 if some Windows file was generated in 2020. According to Nuke, the date has to be 2020 at least.

Rare to happen (that's why it works for most of you) but for people who move the clock forth and back to test things, it's pretty common.

At least it's an easy patch (instead of changing the file dates) along with the 'bad signature' thing. Now for the rest of the fixes...

---------- Post added at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:49 AM ----------

At last, it started up.

What worked was the single machine setup of instructions and just dropping the modified license into its folder.

Using the license utility to install the license, looked fine but just wouldn't work. The utility claimed everything had been installed successfully but when the server run, the relevant products (the 'Nuke' types) would be dropped from the available products list so any requests for them wouldn't match ('product not supported' errors).

This should have been the correct response based on what products are RLM-based but I suppose the XForce crack took care of it in the single machine case.

Has any of you, used it in a network setup?

The FlexLM license popups still come up when Nuke starts. I guess I have to live with them eh?

I've also just installed the FLT 7.0v4 and applied the XForce patch to it plus an additional one to avoid the 'start date is in the future' errors.
Only the Windows version though. I've no idea of what might be fixed in this version but if anybody needs it, let me know and I'll post the patch somewhere. Or just wait for the XForce package that supports more environments.

Need help.

Hi All,

Just like many users above I too tried my fair share of trying to make it work but no matter what I do it just doesnt work.
If someone can please make a step by step guide and mentioning every detail it would be great for all those who are not able to make it run. I am not sure what step I am missing.

Did any one make it work? Do we have to use the IP address or PC name in the license file?
Please throw some light and any help is appreciated.
thank you all.
thanks to the uploader for sharing this fine release.

bnvm 06-17-2013 05:29 PM

for all of those having trouble getting it work try following the directions for setting up a network license from the install.txt file and from the user guide for nuke.

I found that my computer didn't like using the 4042 port, don't remember exactly what the port number was. I set the port value to 5052 and host to myhostname in my license file like the install.txt says, then set an environment variable foundry_LICENSE to 5052@mynostname. Doing this has solved all my issues and I have Nuke up and running on windows and linux. Obviously myhostname is the actual name of your computer.

If this still doesn't work the last thing to try is to ping your computer by name, ping myhostname (using dos for example). I had any issue a while back where for whatever reason the RLM server couldn't find my computer, even though it was installed on it. It turned out that I couldn't ping my own computer by name, adding myhostname 127.0.0.0 to the hosts file solved that issue and everything worked from that point.

gANGSTA 06-17-2013 07:26 PM

So by using what bnvm said, i found how to point to RLM, but now...

Quote:

The license is already installed. (Error Code -4925)
C:\ProgramData\The Foundry\RLM\foundry_client.lic
this is some next level activation shit, if i had bought nuke 7 i would have to go though same shit or there are some limitations because of cracking method?

bnvm 06-17-2013 07:46 PM

I believe that client license just points to the license server and does the same thing as the enviroment variable does. I think you can just delete it.

These are the steps that worked for me. You may want to just uninstall everything and start from scratch. It looks like everything worked fine for me on windows without using the environment variable, I did need to follow all these steps for linux though.

SINGLE MACHINE
1.Install Your Foundry Product
2.Install FLT7
3.Stop Foundry License Server
4.Copy the cracked rlm.foundry.exe over the original one (C:\Program Files (x86)\The Foundry\\LicensingTools7.0\bin\RLM\rlm.foundry.exe "
5.Edit xf_foundry.lic replacing HOST_NAME MAC_ADDRESS PORT . You can get those informations using rlmutil.exe , a simple dos window ipconfig/all
or you can start Foundry License Utility and choose Diagnostics and Run Diagnostics, you will find your hostname, your mac address (System ID)
PORT should be set to 5053, you can try other ports if this one doesn't work. Note Yeti and Exocortex for Maya also use RLM and default to 5053 for their port. They can all be installed together but must use different port numbers. If you installed either of those first use 5052 or simular.

6.Copy the xf_foundry.lic to C:\ProgramData\The Foundry\RLM
7. Create a envirnoment variable called foundry_LICENSE and set it to 5053@HOST_NAME
8. Reboot just in case.
9.Restart RLM Server you can do that from services or just with Foundry License Utility (the best way to check logs and infos)
Select RLM Server and Click on Start Server
10.Start Your Foundry Product and Enjoy it !!

gANGSTA 06-18-2013 07:26 AM

THANKS bnvm!!!

So i unistalled everything and installed everything again and did it with your steps and it now woks :)
It seems it didnt worked first at first, because didnt do step 7 with that variable.

dukesxm 06-19-2013 08:42 AM

How do you create this environment variable called foundry_LICENSE and set it to 5053@HOST_NAME on OSX?
Did anyone get it to work on OSX? Please share how...

bnvm 06-19-2013 11:04 PM

Glad to hear it worked for you, that one gave me some headaches as well. As for OSX i am sure you can google how to set up env vars on a MAC, and no guarantee it will work on anyway. I have not used a MAC since I was 12.:)

I'm getting

in the edited license, are you supposed to leave the word HOST there followed by your HOST_NAME and MAC_ADDRESS.

as in the very first thing that license says is HOST

That licence file is for letting the software know where to find the license file when the licence server is not istalled on the same machine. If youhave that lisence fIle you have done something wrong. Try reading the docs for nuke, this crack is patched license server so other than replacing the file and modifying the license file the installation is the same as if it was a legit license so the docs are quite useful.
