To answer your question about the maxthea plugin, I cant get either one to work correctly. I always get Script Failure at line 1. Good thing the Cinema4D plugin works fine :P
Last version people had an issue with materials not transfering to Thea from Cinema4D, try removing your objects from under nulls, then export.

Thanked: 72 Others | @maximas2000: I only get the Script Failure at line 1 with the plugin for the licensed version, it works with the trial plugin. I don't know if the trial plugin has any restrictions, I don't think so. Edit: With max2011.

tell me the use of interactive render button at the bottom of transform and animtaion in viewport. It just shows a camera icon and nothing happens.
I noticed it also reads kerkythea and twilight scenes now with this beta version

how about rhino 2 thea? This definitely doesn't work with sr8. I updated my rdk but still error getting.
Could someone confirm why I can't export my texture maps from max to thea? In sketchup it goes well. I also import some kerkythea and twilight inside thea and they are still compatible. It seems that thea is well integrated in sketchup than max? Please enlighten me if someone knows how to automatically export models with proper materials as I manually redo it inside thea studio

Thanked: 46 Others | Good morning noMAD,
Great app and works great too. I am using it with SU7.1 Pro. One thing I' d like to ask though, The app works great to my x86 an x64 system I have, but the plugin works only on the x86 system. Why is that, perhaps you can give me a solution. Plugin goes on the SU plugins folder on both x86 and x64 system, so that it can work and I can't install SU to the x64 program files folder cause it wouldn't work as people said to me! I would reallylike to know if you could help get through this.
Thanks in advance,
CAntonis

why would you need a x64 plugin version while sketchup is only x86? You've already said that it works and I'm also using sketchup x86 and thea x64 in my x64 bit system and you just need this plugin to bring it up to thea so it doesn't matter if it's x64 or x86 plus you really cannot use x64 for sketchup. NOmad has nothing to do with it. You can also bring the xml file via twilight render or kerkythea for sketchup

Thanked: 46 Others | Thank U for your answer my friend but I think you misunderstood! I don' t need a x64 version of the plugin. I meant that the plugin won't work on my x64 system. In fact it won't even load, it isn't in the plugins list as Kerkythea or twillight is or even in my Add/Remove Panel, but it is installed as I find it in the SU folder and I can Uninstall it from there. The other odd is that Thea is instaled, works, but it isn't in my Add/Remove Panel either.
I 'll try unistalling SU and thea plugin and do it from the start, maybe this helps!
If you have any idea you are most welcome!

Maybe I am using an older version of the plugin. But in my attempt to find it under request plugin page I failed. Is it possible to give me the link if you have it or upload the plugin yourself if its not much trouble!

yeah. I'm also using Twilight from sketchup export as xml then import in thea studio. The good thing is it reads the material created in twilight in this way you can expand your material library using templates or presets in twilight then tweak it again inside thea.

Topic, a bit off-topic: Dispersion - Light travelling trough solid glass prism - sene file for Thea / Fryrender / Maxwell ???? )
Hi arkimote09, I am wondering, if you have come across a scene-files demonstrating the true physical behavior of the renderer in question ? Could be quite usefull for architectural vizus.
Regards

Yes, I need a scene-file with a parallel light source + 60 degree prism in order to demonstrate dispersion on a white vertical plane with these broad and well known 'rainbow colours', well like the set-up in a physics lab.
I did some research on this topic, but so far no solution.
THX !
I dont mind, if it is for thea, fry or maxwell, etc

Thanked: 718 Others | Let's see if I'm not busy but I made an old scene with a diamond (not so well modelled) but you can see the dispersion you're looking for. In thea there's a lot of ior presets just look for right name for this example scene I've used diamond | |
