Clayoo for Rhino
Youtubing I dound a bunch of videos about it. It seems a tsplines replica by TDMsolutions (rhinogold) but if you search on their site ... nothing. If it says it's a social place, entering only if invited.

Here it is video link:
anyone knows about it ?

Ichio 03-26-2012 07:57 AM

There is nothing about Clayoo:

epiclulz 03-26-2012 08:07 AM

Where to get it?

It looks like subd modeling :)

MADinART 03-26-2012 10:30 AM

yep looks nice! +1

shirik 04-02-2012 09:47 AM

let the people, it's interesting, it is necessary to feel this plugin.

porshe 05-31-2012 09:35 AM

Now you can download

boja 05-31-2012 12:34 PM

It seems for RH 5 only...?

woodlake 05-31-2012 03:13 PM

Yep - confirmed by the FAQ :(

Does Clayoo run on Rhino 5.0? and on Rhino 4.0?

Absolutely! Clayoo has been developed using the latest generation of tools for developers of Rhinoceros, called RhinoCommon.

RhinoCommon allows us to leverage all the advantages of Rhinoceros 5.0, for example, support 64bit natively, among many other advantages.

Unfortunately these tools are not adapted to Rhinoceros 4.0, therefore Clayoo NOT work in Rhinoceros 4.0.
I guess I'll be sticking with Tsplines for the time being...

boja 06-02-2012 09:39 AM

So we need the big switch. T-splines 3.3 works ugly on my system (64bit) and clay seems more comfortable and...fuck Autodesk

unclex 06-02-2012 12:32 PM

bro @ upstairs
where could download rh5?

boja 06-02-2012 07:17 PM

Use search in top of the page...

Bw aware, read carefully posts about it. Between installatio rollbacks that could fuck your actual RH4 config and some other issues... I'm still afraid to install it.

zeh 06-04-2012 07:24 PM

Apparently it doesn't convert poly to nurbs as tsplines does. A good workflow that I've been using is to make poly modeling with blender and use tsplines just to convert it in nurbs.

clayoo and tsplines

i do agreeeee!!! fuck autodesk they should be called grasshopper-desk . tend to buy new cleaver solution from small companies and implement almost exclusivity on their products or kill them - with not development !! fuck them.

i feel sorry tsplines sold part of their codes to them.
fuck autodesk complexity, they structures menu and installation in such unfriendly way... in ts they have to put a bloody video to explain how to install Autodesk T-Splines Plug-in for Rhino!!! ALWAYS COMPLICATED.

clayoo seams to be the some of ts;) some structure some tools, may to many drop down menu, but now with ts its the some!!
may some code writers went out from a back door and open his own company?. i wish him the best - i feel sorry for tsplines as is cleaver tool developed by cleaver guys - and it make rhino goes to another level (up:)!!)

would be nice to put the hands on this new clayoooo but at moment im happy with my rhino 4 and i dont think to switch to rhino5 yet, at list for a while... take care guys and always fuck autodesk - i hope rhino wont sell to this bastards - in fact already in the past when mcnell said NO to them they where really unhappy and did some retaliations to them...

zeh 07-14-2012 04:53 AM

"grasshopper-desk" noooooooooo! LOL Grasshopper for me is by far the best plugin for rhino!
By the way clayoo does convert poly to nurbs now!
And who cares about t-stuffs, autode$k will make t-splines a crapy thing anyway. Just poly modeling capabilities and a poly to nurbs converter is what's needed.
Well, for AD and adobe user the future is brigth with the CLOUD$oftwareforrentbullshit!!!

The beta is free, just go to the site and register, that's all !

davide76 07-28-2012 05:51 PM

Do not exaggerate: to say that clayoo is better than t-splines seems to me too!
T-Splines is a more mature clayoo, I would say more complete.;)

jinj 08-23-2012 10:07 PM

sure t-spline has more tools like t-spline from line.... but clayoo has the sweep 2 rail command...
and wen you convert a clayoo surface to a rhino one... you got the same surface same isolines... very light... t-spline in converting create a quad dense polysurface  i created something in rhino it was just 30MB in t-spline 125MB and tspline get stuck all the time you go in active mode  with big files..

jeline 09-06-2012 03:36 AM

The best part is that you can to use Clayoo to create objects and then convert it to TSplines to complete your work. There are tools that are not available in TSplines. Working with the two helps a lot.

you can convert indeed a t-spline to clayoo, try the clayoo mesh convert command. better if you box it before conversion. clayoo recognize everything as mesh. only rhino surfaces as nurbs.
then use the smooth arrow on the viewport to reach the desired smooth effect. only disappointing to me it's that it triangulate anyway some faces.

epiclulz 11-09-2012 10:04 AM

nasheron 12-13-2012 03:51 AM

This is such a great tool for rhino users. The profile on this one needs to be hightened somehow. Come one guys, more people need to show intrest and increase requests otherwise it will just collect "e-cobwebs"....

mturbo 12-21-2012 03:18 PM

tiger66667 02-04-2013 12:33 AM

Clayoo is Dy-No-Mite
Clayoo appears to be intuitive and has the makings of a superior product; Upon first glance, it could be more usable than tsplines .

cal411 02-04-2013 04:53 AM

Looks good, hope a patch comes out soon.
