Guys, I believe his suggestion is for there to be some sort of rating/points system for uploaders, to help users better judge if a torrent should be trusted, and gives incentive for people to upload quality stuff so they don't get bad ratings. Which is sort of a nice thing to have, because people do like to try and achieve things, that's just human nature, calling that a bad thing is stupid (lookin at you mucho ;D )

Of course not a system that just gives you points for uploading things, users have to actually choose to increase your rating/points. Or else yeah, we'd just get an influx of crap torrents for that sake.

There is a private trackers that do something that I think is kinda cool and helps to make people upload quality torrents. Gold torrents is what Im talking about. here is from the wiki from a game tracker I goto.

You get a little gold trophy icon next to your name when one of your torrents go gold. Only a mod can make it gold if they feel it deserves it. Sometimes they have Gold weekends where gold torrents are freeleech. The torrents are highlighted in gold. im sure some of you have heard about this. Thats kinda what you are talking about and I think would help put out good quality torrents. You can also have a voting system for the torrents where users can vote from a 1-5 rating system or something and also have a button to click to vote if you feel it deserves gold torrent rating.

Seems to be that suggestion which can be mocked by Nazi grammar police usually gets most attention. Comments are non constructive mostly and not posted in effort to understand, help and contribute, but to provoke and degrade. OP and its creator's first language isn't English, and neither is mine, but what he try to say is clear and valid suggestion.

Other then obvious, seeding, he is proposing additional reward of some kind and I support such idea. Those who release and share content by uploading it initially, are not the same as person who leach and then decide to seed (or maybe not). And yes his ratio isn't the best there is, and he leached more then he seed, still that doesn't disqualify his suggestion.

Thanks button is a good idea, and to some point better ratio for initial seeder for unique content.

Isn't the whole point of a site like this to be low-profile, mobile, and elusive? Don't you want to be anonymous? It's better to just have your name diluted by other leecher-seeders than to be identified as an originator. Law enforcement goes after originators first.

The system works fine as it is.
On the whole, Reward systems do little more than encourage people to upload crap. This is a problem, even under the current system, where people upload free stuff, old stuff and/or dupes just to get enough ratio to leech. Ironically, the OP has done all 3 on several occasions and this is not his first suggestion thread on trying to gain more ratio from uploading.

By uploading, either an original torrent or reseeding an existent torrent, you increase your ratio and are then able to leech.
If anything, the system should include a method of punishing those who upload crap/dupes. e,g. have their torrent removed, along with any upload credits they gained, AND remove from their stats a sizable % of the torrent size.

So, for example, if you upload 10GB of crap, you get 20GB removed from your stats to start with, along with as much data as you actually uploaded.

Might also be an idea to punish anyone who tried to download it.

I do like the Thanks button idea, or a Good/Bad voting system, but as we see on the forum, even though posting "Thanks" is against the rules you still get a batch of idiots who mess up the thread/torrent by doing so, making it harder to spot the one post in the middle that says "this does not work"

Ratio rules are a bit too lax as it is in my opinion.
Either way I agree with the sentiments that this would only cause people to upload complete bullshit in order to get phantom points.
I also agree with the torrent quality star rating too.

If there was gold torrents many people would actually write a good description with images,links,ect. I still like the gold torrent idea lol. It works at other trackers. They know if they upload something really good with good description,release info, photos,ect that it could go gold and if it does good for them and might help there ratio out a little but best of all we get people uploading good torrents with quality.

I think you should fix the report button first!

I see torrents every day that's ether dupes or free stuff that everyone can grabb! When i see a dupe i see a guy that makes a panic upload because he realize his ratio is below minimum.That 99% of the cases and he should at least get a warning for not searching before uploading something that's already on the board. Saying they didn't knew the rules deserves a perm ban !

There are people who share and there are people who just leech on this tracker,Better would be to rise the minimum ratio and get some rules here
