Default animating propeller

Noob here, .... I'm having trouble animating hilicopter propeller in max. I set a key at 0, then move to frame 3 and set a key at 180 degrees on the z axis. I go to the curve editor and select reletive repeat. It animates but it looks really slow and clunky.

You have it moving 180 degrees in 3 frames?

Probably use more frames for the rotation, I mean you have it moving 60 degrees each frame, and see how many frames per second you set. It probably won't look great, I usually make a separate model that's a circle and then put textures on that because it looks a lot smoother.

the tutorials i watched / read all said to move three frames out and rotate 180 degrees and then set the curve editor to relative repeat. It's just not looking right though.

fuck! i tried but still looks horrible. I gotta get some training on this type of animation because my wheels on cars look disastrous too.

the best result so far was setting a key at 0 and the a key at frame 10 at 180 clockwise, set the curve editor to relative repeat, and then slide the last key from 10 down to about 5 or 6. I don't love it but it is closer
