Today i saw this video from a group called gorillaz-stylo. They used 3d, i really like the render , i think they used some stop motion n some scenes, can someone plz help me to know what programs they used to render it?.
Maya? Vray for renders?

gorillaz is the band name. i really doubt they did the animation or the music video. some other company did it for them. as far as the animation part which part are u talking about. car chasing, the death reaper scene or underwater scene.
maya and vray are totally different things. u should probably learn the basics before trying to learn this hard stuff

lol Gorillaz was first introduced as a live 3d Virtual band the machine that displayed it ran around 50 million you can lease it for a tone of money for like a weekend show.

Now the Video is done with film photage and cleaned up in some type compositor like AE or smoke now the only 3d animation in the video is the toons them selves the car in water one time or two they used a 3d car instead of live photage it could all been done in any package really and the rendering could of been Mentalray or Vray or even Renderman or a company software not available to public market nothing to fancy going on in the video not sure why so hyped up about it really lol.
