3. you can install over your current version (uninstall is not necessary, but it is only on you)

does anyone know how to defeat it?

yup, working perfectly here and using at as my main renderer. I did nothing else but install maxwell and the plugin, and use the crack eP0x supplied. I did get the same license not found error last week (before the update) but apparently i accidently moved my maxwell folder in my documents to another folder, so thats why it couldnt find the license files.

Oh yeah i get that warning too, you can just ignore it though, its nothing. Works perfectly fine.

hi all guys i installed the version 2.7.10 of maxwell render for Ubuntu 12.04, with the plugin for maya 2012, unfortunately missing the crack.
The rendering appears under the name Maxwell. Does someone have the crack for the version of linux x64bit pleaseeeee???
