Q: Help! RT won't work with SP5!
A: Current workaround:
1) Install Sp4a
2) Install RT
3) Uninstall Sp4a
4) Install Sp5 for 2010
5) Install autograss for 2010
Q: I keep getting error 126 when using autograss and max crashes, what gives?
A: You don't have enough memory. Free up memory and use x64 if possible.
Q: What about solidrocks for Sp5?
A: n0mad has made a workaround and will release it when he's ready. I've tested and it works.
Q: What about vray for maya?
A: It will be released once my cracker has finished with it.

can't install the RT in a 32bit max 2010...
got this RT file for max 10 32bit in the rar file there is only; the 01020 program file to be installed & cgauth.dll to be copied. I have tried to install it in a 32bit max 2010 running with SP4 but RT do not work.
I see my RT file to be installed in a 64bit max 11 with; cgauth.dll, vray2010.dll & vraydummy2010. this one works great.
am I missing some files for the 32bit machine?

I replaced both cgauth.dll but the program gives a error and close 3ds Max. Using 32bit max design 2010. I think this version Vray RT 0.10.20 is not compatible with Vray 1.5 SP4a.

Thanked: 11 Others | I have done it and now I can see the active shader window...although it does not render, all messages are "done" but the black screen remains in the active shade window even after reading "start rendering". if I open the server window stands: succesfully loaded &" waiting for port 20206...."
do I need to set the port? ...remember reading about this problem somewhere else..I try to find it meanwhile someone helps me here.
specs: dualcore 2gb ram, nvidia Quadro NVS 140M, portable pc.

I can see the same scene in max 2011 in the RT active shader window.

we go backguards...after so many RT sp4a installing/unistalling now, even sp4/sp4a does not start anylonger in the 32bit portable pc. the 64bit RT works perfectly in max 11
hope CCleaner give us a hand....and start all over again.

Break into one of the armys warehouses, take a couple of machineguns, steal a car, run into a bank, get some cash , buy chaosgroup, release vray for free for everybody!

hi guys
i cant set vray light as view port camera, is somthing wrong with the crack or vray don't support setting its vray to cam view.
one other thing i cant see vray lights in light lister in max
i'm using max 2010 x64 and vray sp4a in this thread

Thanks for Releases. Install on max 2011 х32 x64 on XP-32 and W7-x64, seems all works. one thing when you open a scene made in version 1.5 SP2 vrey preset settings are not preserved. Scene files from earlier versions of vray all the settings are saved ... as it can be solved, or reconfigure the whole time, not so hard but still ...

V-Ray 1.5 SP5 is the next release of the V-Ray rendering engine for 3ds Max. In addition to several new features and bug fixes, this service pack provides compatibility with 3ds Max 2011 and 3ds Max Design 2011.

And for the record, RT does not work with SP5, so upgrade cautiously.
