Note for fixed version
(with previous version RT didn't work for some):

U need to Re-install (or Repair) Maya ,
When u uninstall Old Vray you lost Some maya Files ,

re install (or repair) maya , for Vray Install use original V-Ray 2.30.01 for Maya 2013_x64.exe , Install patch

Note for use w/ Blender:

This fixed version runs w/ Blender. (You need VRayBlender 2.65 or installed Exporter add-on.)
- Install VRay as Standalone or as forMaya2013...
- run patch
- move patched files & overwrite (cgauth.dll, vray.dll) from "c:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2013\..." to "c:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\Standalone for x64\..."
- enjoy

ESET warns of trojan in 6 infected files (vray.dll & cgauth.dll for every Maya ver. / 3x2) - as usually patched files
installed... for now everything seems ok, but probably needs more thorough tests

anyone test render yet? mine is render very very slow... 1 sphere, no light, standard vray mat, nothing in the scene at all. adaptive DMC very low sampling (0.03) took me a whole minute to render this sphere.... anyone else?

I don't have any trouble so far with it.

I tested a simple scene with 1 sphere no light, vray mat and all defaut setting everything is fine with both maya 2011 and 2013.

reason would be: no hint in description about pre-cracked version, aka installer only. Might be also the hints to gaydomain in description.

it will not work with maya extension version have some dll files that conflict with vray try maya 2013 sp1 or sp2

Bazuka and Gretone, thanks for trying to help! I played with the env and paths but it does seem like there is some incompatibility with Extension 2013 (I'm on Windows 8 x64). Just couldn't get it to load at all. I installed SP2 2013 again and Vray seems to work with that although I get a script error the first time I load the render settings (missing tab but it comes back if you switch tabs. I'm guessing it's fixable in the mel script that was changed somewhere.). Makes me a bit worried about using it for anything important but I'll keep testing it for now.

Vray 2.30 on Maya 2013 SP2 works fine. Distr.rendering works too.
Maya 2013.5 vray is not working. Hope it will be fix soon and we will have vray 2.30 x86 standalone for destr rendering too)

Hmm, it doesn't work for me (i'm using Maya 2013).

If i install Vray without patching it, i can load the plugin in Maya but if i patch it, i'm given the error that the plugin can't be loaded... any ideas?


Edit: solved, my antivirus was blocking some vray files. Now it works perfectly!
