You know, I'm very contented with Mental Ray, but this one book alone makes me really really interested in Vray. It's unique in the way it's written. Obviously the guy has a real passion for Vray that communicates itself to you and sort of seduces you to Vray. I wish Mental Ray had such a single simplified source of information on it like this bible of rendering. |

Just buy the fucking Book, guys. I mean, it's ONLY 25 € for god sake! Jus't don't go to the Disco and stay sober for one weekend and that's it, you'll have your 25 € to make the right thing at least for one time in your lifes... The amazing work of the author deserves a lot more than this price... And this won't go to any kind of intermediary. The guy who made it will receive all the money for his damn well done job. I'm sick of hearing moans for the high cost of the CG stuff, and what happens when somebody lisent to you and put a really down price to his work? More moaning. Sorry to the mods for rising my tone but that just make me sick. |

I agree with you. Not to mean to defend some people... but what if the case was the material/stuffs they wanted cannot be purchased in his/her area/country because one or more reason? e.q. > the credit cards which cannot be accepted because of their country that has been blacklisted by paypal or other payment agent. > if they have to buy the things physically, the delivery fee may cost them more than the price of the goods it self. Like when I bought a goods from ebay: The goods itself cost only less than US$ 100., but the delivery fee was cost me more than US$ 100! What do u think about that? Not all of them want to steal others hard works! But not all of them can afford the goods which can make them smarter! Who knows that most of them will somehow repay the goods they acquired for "free" in one way or another? Not just to the creator, but for the people around them, or more... the humankind? I just want u to know that I agree with you. But beside the above reasons, I think why some people don't want to waste their money maybe it's because they didn't know if it's useful to them or not. That's why we introduced by "sharewares". So people can try if the product suits them or not. e.q. V-ray in this matter can cost about US$ 900., which is not cheap for some people, especially for them who only want to try it for fun. And for them who want to know V-ray more, they have to learn how to do it (not in just a short time). And beside maybe they can't afford to buy the tutorial(s), they may wonder if they want spend their precious/limited money for the tutorials while the program itself may or may not that useful for them. As I already mentioned above, I believe that each of us has a conscience. May be, if I may speak on behalf of people who "make you sick": We didn't born to be a thieve... Especially if the goods were used to make money... We don't want hot money because of it.... We buy it if we want and/if we could afford it. And some of us, one way or another, will make it up to the creator... Especially if it really can make us to be a better person for our own interest... You really have a good intention, but it was the way you express your feeling which make some people feel so dirty.... Just a food for your thought, okay?! Peace one more time, man! Look Kevin, don't come with the "Shareware" argumentation here 'cause there's no point on it. Not here. I could understand it with the first edition, that only was published in paper (with the possible problems of delivery etc... ) and was clearly more expensive (100 €). Actually I first downloaded it myself to watch if it was worth to buy it, and of course it was. And everybody could have made the same now (to look at the scanned 1rst edition PDF) without the need of cracking the new PDF. Remember, this guy F. Legrenzi is ofering ALL the 1000 pages book plus all the new info on the 2nd edition plus all DVD content in a full quality PDF for only 25 € !! It's not fair compare it with the 900 $ of the Vray Version, not even fair compare it with the first 100 € of the paper version. 25 € is what you pay for a DVD-R pack, I mean, c'mon... If you don't want to pay this for more than 1000 pages book of pure gold information and extremely useful tests about Vray, well, it's ok, just download the hacked version and enjoy yourself... but I think it's ridiculous. And yeah, peace, or whatever... |

Interesting. I had no idea that the price has come down and that it was now being offered as a pdf. If that is the case, I'm more than happy to support the author. For me, 25 € is a reasonable price to pay whereas 100 € was not. So I will buy. TGF | ||

Well s...t visited the website it's eems that there no more hard copy of this book the last version wich is the 3° is only PDF and no plan to print it, while the first and second edition are out of print and wioll not be reprinted.
