Default 3D max... noob question

I want to install 3D maRx... only to convert some models and such stuff.
So, Is it possible to install only the basic program, without any additional libraries and similar things, which I do not need. Sometime use some free scripts like debris maker, but maRx is not my piece of cake

Discard Inventor Server Engine (eats 600mb space), Revit Interoperability, Civil View, Arnold, Material libraries etc. After installation, go to Control Panel> Programs and Features and type Audodesk in the search field. Uninstall what was installed by default. If I'm not mistaken, there are some non-optional things in the installation that can be removed later.

If your still on Windows 7 (like I am), Go to Start> All Programs> Autodesk> Uninstall Tool ; then uninstall whatever you don't need/use.

I have only 3ds Max 2015 with SP3 and Extension 1 (for OpenSubdiv Support) installed, which is occupying 1.65 GB.

Uncheck all options and run.

Or use other program, MODO is lighter and powerful. 700mb space, imports thousand of extensions.

Are there really thousands of 3D graphic extensions?

Anyway, not if the extension you want to convert is MAX. Even C4D, which uses Okino's extensive collection of importers, won't convert native Max or Maya files. The licenses to support all of the native formats that files might come in would be prohibitive. This is why so many people here ask for models in OBJ or FBX format, which most programs can import. If they come in MAX or MA formats, you pretty much need Max or Maya to read them.

Thanks you guys... I probably install maRx .... 2014 or 2016-7 do not know.
If i remember correctly during installation is no options, but I can latter delete stuff which I do not need. Primary purpose is to can convert stuff, it's humiliating to beg on forum and read comments like : fuck off, install maRx ( or cinema, Maya etc. ).

PS. long time ago I plan to buy Modo one day... affordable price, especially at the time of sale - discount..... But Foundry buy Modo and price are doubled, and more $hit than before.... On the other hand Blender is better and better. And he is all what I need in this moment..... C4D is my first love, but price and maintenance is out of my reach
