Lightbulb Paper Boat Floating on Water - AE/3D

Hello guys,

I'm planning to do a small clip as part of a big project. I'm well acquainted with AE and basic 3D

Scene :

A paper boat floats on a small stream of water. The camera is focused onto the boat at an angle (just like a 3rd person shooter game play).

I'm trying to achieve this using After effects + Red Giant Psunami but I'm not close to my expected results..Any suggestions from the creative people of CGPersia ??

This footage on Videohive is a quite close to my final outcome

Every reply/suggestion will be well received and appreciated !! Thanks in advance

i made this years ago. i love their music...
make a simple 3d model and use dreamscape ocean for a simple animation or realflow for a more complex one. but u will be fine with dreamscape alone. for this clip there were no such pluggins i think i had water plane in max with havoc engine...crazy old days...
now it's so easy just make ur ocean with dream scape and add ur boat in collisions tab and that's it. with far better result that my old clip
