Request is when you ask for a download.
Release is when you give download links.

Seeing how there are download links it should be move to release section for visibility.

I asked on peers and was directed to come to requests but it seems you're correct so I moved them to the release section.

I would suggest posting this on CG general discussions, with a title like "Redshift v2.5.19 installer - crack needed" something like that. This thread won't show up on the latest post thingy but general discussions do. Maybe someone can crack this since the installers are hard to get.

Is this installer for "nodelocked", or "floating" licence?

Then its the node locked installer which is easy to get but not cracked as yet (no idea if it will ever be) The one needed is the floating installer.

FYI, their floating installers never worked with cracked servers.

The fluke that allowed a NL build to be used with a server has been fixed, so now you need to have it cracked anyway, no matter if float or NL.

Well, I'm mostly a Mac Guy with my 12 core Mac Pro, but find myself using Windows a lot these days since I dual boot Win 10 Enterprise.

Was quite excited to see Redshift for OS X. Installed fine in Maya and C4d, too bad not cracked I looked at my gpu monitor during a maya and C4d render, seems to peg my Nvidia 980 TI more than the cracked Windows version does.

Redshift is fine with many Mental Ray shaders, so I did a render in Redshift that takes Mental Ray about 42 seconds to complete, Redshift did the same job in 4 seconds (Watermarked) Looks promising, may purchase.... been waiting

Word of caution Mac users: If you leave Redshift loaded (plugin manager) before shutting down Maya, Maya will crash when Redshift does a license check on next start.
If you force unload before shutting down Maya, it is ok. I had to delete my prefs file. All good now.

This is unfortunate, since if AMPED puts all the effort in caring about the RLM servers, we get no chance seeing a crack for C4D nodelocked version.

Wish someone with nodelock experience would get an extended look to this, so we do have a chance expecially for the latest releases that have support for openvdb.

Not C4D version, the engine supports it but the implementation in C4D Redshift started with 2.5.18 if I do remember well.
So far only Redshift for C4D 2.0.79 is usable and it misses the openvdb support, has some volumes node but it lacks the volume object to attack those nodes and to load openvdb files. Only the latest versions support it, and are preliminary versions.

Also without a cure to node locked licensing system, no way to render volume stuff with Redshift on C4D.

Most of the time it's subjective, if you're experienced with one renderer, you can reproduce what most others can do but If you are a small independent without prior investment (time/money) in one already, I'd go with Redshift.

Arnold's great but it's designed as an efficient brute force CPU renderer that eats large scale scenes. Redshift being GPU will be blazing fast in comparison but obviously wont scale up as well as Arnold.

If I understand correctly, you own 2 RX 480. Since they are out of stock in most places, because the coin mining madness, their price went up quite a bit. Why not sell them now, and invest in a CUDA GPU, Which is way better for rendering, and mostly everything else?

Ebay my country rx480 used 6 months, sold last week for ? 403. And here, you can buy a Gtx 1070 NEW, for ? 420, on Amazon!

I would gladly pitch in for an Nvidia card that would fit his machine. One awesome thing about Redshift is that it can use many MentalRay shaders. Seems a bit more flexible than Vray materials except on C4d. I know MentalRay materials work on Maya, I will see if that is so with Max. Currently waiting on the massive VRscans download which seems to have stopped @ 50%... guessing everyone is stuck here

Suppose I could move my download to my Fat 32 drive and re-boot into Windows, then resume my DL with uTorrent. Then try Redshift with Max MentalRay shaders....

Use a workround for this. But this is first amateur-fast-test. Not more.
gtx-1080ti ( on its shader limitation) works propper fine in maya+redshift v2. 5.0 ( 4.90), this version makes a fast crakkle and gpu stalls.
MenRay shades: 60% Vray : 35-40/ depends on the usaly v-ray you do.
trick: use a lower shader class in first then go up, start full = crash.. i dont knou why??
c4d: nope. I do for now not get all i want ( have less time to test it)-- it works but unstabel all time.
personal dream : extern biased-cpu-render ( red-shift-motha-fuka ore call it waht you want) takes out the inprogrammdata( maya/max/...) in
the render of the cpu.. directly.. dream

Yeah, let's keep all the cracks private. Or even better, let's also add a huge banner in this page "Go learn assembly you lazy fucks" Companies would be happy for sure.

some cracks are private, and there are reasons for that.
this was not the case with redshift, anyone could go to their help page and download their rlm isv server / .set file and they even gave detailed instructions as to how to set it up...
why shine a spotlight on it?

And anyone could patch it on their own? They actually gave instructions how to use their software for free? Many software packages can be activated with rlm but without the patched files hopefully provided publicly (in this forum) you can't just run the full version. You can also download and setup rlm server for nextlimit products. Do they activate themselves magically?

of course not, you use a generic patched rlm server like everyone does (if you can't make your own)
what i'm saying is the patch was already out there (generically) for redshift, for anyone who used their common sense, read their documentation and downloaded the .set file could use it with their generic rlm server.
publishing that info out in the open got the devs attention, obviously (it's a tiny company), and now no more redshift for anyone...
