There is a x64 version on demonoid, it looks real but it is corrupted. So links to the x64 maya 2010 should arrive soon.

Yep, I know - archive #60 is corrupted. I'm waiting for the fixed version, too. Anyway, it's only a matter of hours. One thing's for sure - it's here, I can hear it's breath .

Update: the torrent on demonoid was deleted - hopefully to fix the problem.

this is missing m2010_win64.r03 (i hate downloads like this, its a zip within and zip within a zip. zipping it this many times does nothing for the size and leads to people messing up with missing files)

no. the license manager is the same as for other Autodesk products now.

So the crack is also the same. It is a real good keygen for the activation, no cracked dlls or something like that.

I don't get why they keep doing this.

why so Autodesk not support Win7 already? Surely they have to support win7 already with it coming out later this year? I guess knowing ADK they will just release a silly Service Pack.

win7 is not out yet, so its not supported, simple as that. there probably will be a service pack. but service packs are a good thing, they are never silly.

people have to remember though that the 3D industry won't suddenly jump to windows 7 when it comes, most in industry still aren't using vista and are still on xp64. its only really the minority that are using vista at the moment in production. windows 7 is meant to be alot better, but will be buggy at first so its too much of a risk for industry to use it until its stable enough for production.

just google for splash.dll, download it and put it in maya's directory... solved.

Links:

I run the windows 7 RC and it is as stable as it can be. There is really nothing against its use in production. waaaaay better than vista.

King,
Hotfile links for 32 bit version have been removed.
The rapidshare one is missing file m2010w32.r06.
Does anyone have a complete version of this and not just a copied freaking link from another site?
I would thank you for the download, but when it's not complete, it's hard to want to give anyone thanks...

Thanks man that fixed it for me.

Also i agree about windows 7 it ismuch much better that vista for apps like maya and max.

I have one problem in that you can't switch off the driver signing enforcement in windows 7 which means my soft moded ultra 8800 to a Quadro FX4600 needs a special F8 press everytime I boot the machine which is anoying.

Am I the only one with a "d3dx9_39.dll missing" error whenever you launch the 64 bit version? I do have that file in my system folder but I am running Directx 10 of course.

@Tommy12 - you need to install DirectX9. DIrectX 10 does not include DirectX9, like the other versions of DirecX, that included all previosus versions. Just get it from the internet and install it.
Good luck.

you do not have to download any directx9. you should just google for the dll, dowload it and put it in maya.exe's folder.

I copied the d3dx9_39.dll file into the Maya folder, in system and system32.... still asking for the file!
I don't want to install Directx9 over my Vista 64 DirectX 10 because I have read that this will screw up DX10. Then again I have 3DMax running in the same machine with either DX9 or DX10 in its preferences so WTF Autodesk sucks as usual.

I had this problem with maya x32 under windows 7 x64. are you sure you put the dll in the good folder (programs(x86)/autodesk/maya2010/bin)???

I think you must have put it in the wrong place or something else is wrong in your installation.

Thanks Oregon... yes it is in the Maya2010/bin folder, no luck

File is a d3dx9_39.dll version 9.24.949.2307, maybe there is some different version around that works I don't know. But it says that it's missing not that it is wrong anyway.
